my apologies guys, no any ideas about that ?
or mb someone have real experience with implementing huge count of units on map?
depends if your game is a multiplayer or not,cryengine itself can have a lots of players at the same time, for example mavericks proving ground should have 1000 players in one map, of course they will drop a lot of money in servers.

For basic prototype, I'm aiming to just for single game
I thinking about big armyes like in Totalwar game about 10.000 units on map.
if camera placed on near each unit, they are character with skeletal animation, I mainly doubt about perfomance issues of animation system and pathfinder system for crowd
I think this is must be some custom component for such big armies, that internally use engine's low systems.

Does animation system supports some instansing optimization for many characters with similar skinned skeleton ???

Is pathfinder system can hadle crown with Flow Field Pathfinding (http://leifnode.com/2013/12/flow-field-pathfinding/) ???

Oh I prefer forum. They(Cryengineers/Stuff) are not present here on own forume ?
Hmm... this is sadly situation, but why Cryengineers do not want use own forum ? O_o
Discord as i know do not have any history/database for future searching by new incomers, so that's why discord just useless chat for kids
discord have a search function but it is not really good as forum, btw crytek staff use also forum but they can be a bit slow to answering since they provide support to multiple channels, so just that, if you want have a quick response it is better use discord, when you got your answer you can update your post here writing [SOLVED] on thread name and update the post with the official response so everyone is allowed to quickly get infos, this is what i actually do. :)

Do you know any other forums about cryeingine5 or maybe personal blogs or sites ?
