Skinweighting of animated character from Maya gets changed in Cryengine.

Hello everyone,
i'm currently having problems with importing my animated character into cryengine. When i play the animation in the Character Tool, it seems as if the skinweights have been messed up: . I rigged and skinned the model in Maya, and I followed this tutorial to import the character into cryengine: ... . After skinning, i added a root joint (for cryengine export) to the rig. could that be the problem?
