Can I modify the .lo Scripting Entities in the 'Explosion' section, to receive the FX particles?

I notice that the 'Database View' particle system is becoming obsolete and I had difficulties to create particles there, because it didn't go the way I wanted, so I'm developing my particles in the current FX particle system, because I'm already adapted and know how to create particles in it. So how do I get Entities to receive them? ... sp=sharing
