Based on my expierence this is how i got your engine to work with mvs2017 and 5.4
1- In CMake to compile engine
..\..\Tools\CMake\Win32\bin\cmake -G "Visual Studio 15 2017 Win64" -D CMAKE_TOOLCHAIN_FILE=Tools\CMake\toolchain\windows\WindowsPC-MSVC.cmake ..\..
2- to make sample c++ work
you need to update the generated solution version to 2015by replacing version in Tools/CryVersionSelector otherwise it won't build for mvs2017

- When trying to create an instance from an imported Substance Archive the editor crashes.

Reproduce error:

- Open any from of project (ex: First Person Shooter Template from CRYENGINE 5.4 folder)
- Open the asset browser
- Drag the Substance Archive into any folder inside the asset folder
- Right click the Substance Archive in the asset browser
- Create press create instance
- Press "OK" on the dialog that pops up
- Engine crashes

You have to open the Sandbox with a project. You can do this by right-clicking on the Game.cryproject file of your project and selecting Launch Editor, or by specifying the project as an argument when opening the sandbox. For example: "C:\Program Files\CRYENGINE\5.4_Preview\bin\win_x64\Sandbox.exe" -project C:\Projects\MyProject\Game.cryproject.
Opening the Sandbox without specifying a project is not supported.
