I did the update so that It could be used if players came into a multiplayer game and since i am working with someone else and we are not working on the same repo events where more tricky too coordinate. Also there are usually not very many players in the game so I did not see the update as a problem. About the mallocing I like mallocing and im more used to it.why do you use malloc(free) instead of new(delete)?
area should have onoverlap event.so you dont have to calculate every update.
