If anyone wants to actually get started on C++ with CryEngine with VStudio, check out my repo.
It's a customized (improved) version of cryengine that is guaranteed to work out of the box.

This is based on the MAIN not release branch! It's 3-4 months ahead if not more. Also great for people who want their engine changes PR'd into CE.

Extremely useful repository. I have long wanted to organize something like this. It would be nice if the community could lead its clean branch and not wait for help from the crytek.

repo definitively helpfull, the official cryengine one wont compile. tried it today with current changes and a week ago.
the one personwithhat contributes (on his own time) compiles just fine
