Oculus Touch Controllers: "Disconnected"

Good Afternoon!

We've been attempting to utilize our oculus touch controllers for development but our game.log lists both hands as disconnected. We cannot find any documentation or prior forum postings about this. Everything else with the HMD is operational.

const IHmdController* controller = m_pHMDDevice->GetController();
if (m_pController->IsConnected(eHmdController_OculusLeftHand))

debug these using OculusVR plugin not OpenVR.
