Looking to make a VR game and have some questions, perhaps more later

Hi

First question is I bought some assets (one of the kitchens) and when go to Play in the sandbox, I get the crash:

My actual question is: is this going to be a problem in general? Do levels have to be made VR from the start before they work in VR? Is it hard to "fix" them? I know I am right at the beginning, so any level of explanation will suffice, but if it's definitely the case that levels have to be "made" VR worthy otherwise they ain't going to work and it's not going to be practical to "fix" them, then I won't be buying any more assets.

Next question is the Perspective when making a VR project. How do I get it to just be 2D, it's not really workable as is.

Third question, how do I get it so when I go to "Play" in a level, the resolution isn't DK2 - how do I adjust the resolution etc for that?

FYI I am using a GTX 1080 with latest nvidia drivers, and an i7 7700k.

Only thing I can think of is CE uses C:\users\MY USER\documents as it's location for the projects, yet I've set my PC to use another folder as "My Documents". Could it be that somehow?

In general, VR on any platform will require more stringent resource management, frame budgets will be tighter and assets will need to be optimized more rigorously. This is due to the renderer essentially rendering the scene twice, once for each eye, as well as minimum framerates, having FPS lower than 60 can cause severe motion sickness, in fact it is recommended to hit 90fps iirc. Assets should not cause a crash however, and we would like to try investigate this issue if you can provide us some more details.

The crash could be caused by an object, material, or some missing file that has corrupted one of your level files.
The error.log cannot provide us much detail unless you buidl the engine yourself. However, the editor.log file could be useful for finding out at which point the editor crashes and if there are any hints in previous warnings or errors before the crash. Though it is rare to find the issue to such crashes in a log file. It would be easier if you could identify if it is indeed a specific object causing a crash. And what system specifications your machine has, the CRYENGINE version, and if it is all up-to-date (Windows).

Resolution is set via CVars r_height and r_width. You could try to create a flow graph so that these values are set on game start.
