Can it run Ray Tracing?
We have always worked hard to deliver cutting edge technology and set the benchmark for real-time 3d graphics and you can find out more about our journey towards making the future of Neon Noir a reality now in the developer diary. The video covers the technology, the story of development and reveals the potential it holds in empowering developers and artists using CRYENGINE to achieve stunning results by deploying ray tracing on contemporary hardware.
It's now your turn to experience this technology of the future now on your own rig by running the benchmark. We would love to see your scores, your setup and hear your feedback. We encourage you to share your scores, screenshots, videos and impressions with us here, on discord and everywhere. Even better, we have integrated full support for Razer Chroma in Neon Noir which will pair nicely with Razer Chroma enabled hardware and peripherals. We hope you enjoy seeing Neon Noir running on your rig and previewing the next step forward in CRYENGINE's graphics solution.
The benchmark allows to adjust the CRYENGINE's ray tracing solution to be adjusted in the settings. When this technology ships in CRYENGINE, developers will be able to adjust the value that drives this settins to achieve the level of performance they desire for specific scenes or give control over the performance of ray tracing to users as part of the graphics settings.
The Recommended Minimum Specs for the Neon Noir Benchmark:
• AMD Ryzen 5 2500X CPU/Core i7-8700
• AMD Vega 56 8 GB VRAM/Nvidia GTX 1070 8 GB VRAM
• 16 GB System Ram
• Win 10 x64
• DX11
Enjoy and share your scores achieved with CRYENGINE!
How's the score calculated?
The Neon Noir ray tracing benchmark score is calculated as follows:
Full number of Frames per Second divided by length of the sequence.
The Neon Noir demo is set up in our TrackView tool, native to CRYENGINE and has a runtime of exactly 94 seconds. The total of frames calculated every second divided by 94 equals your end score for the benchmark.
Reversing this calculation will give you your average FPS. Example:
End score = 7688 Points
