Re: How to apply changes which was done in C++ code of a simple project?

Did you build your code so it replaces the default game.dll?
To make changes to the code you have to follow these steps:
  1. Go to the folder where you've saved your project.
  2. Right-click the Game.cryproject file and select "Generate Solution".
  3. Select the version of Visual Studio that you want to develop in. At the moment only Visual Studio 2015 and 2017 are supported.
  4. This will generate the solution in the Solutions folder in the root folder of your project. Explore into Solutions/win_x64/ and open Game.sln in Visual Studio.
  5. At this point you can modify the code as much as you want.
  6. Build your code in Visual Studio. If compiling was successful it will replace the game.dll file so your game runs the modified code.
  7. You can now run your game from Visual Studio (this way you will have debugging support so you can add breakpoints in Visual Studio) or from the launcher/cryproject file.
