AI c++ and c# tutorials and documentation!

#1
Hi,

AI tutorials for c++ and c# are seriously lacking. Only docs for GameSDK and LUA, which is not useful in the slightest. Since AI for the templates is "at risk" in the roadmap for 5.5, I assume we won't have it until 5.7 since some things for AI in 5.6 are also delayed or at risk, and AI is an integral part of a game and most people will not be able to wait a year or two for AI to be added to CryEngine and instead to move onto something like LY, which at least has better docs for AI and a working example.

TLDR; AI tutorials for c++ and c# would be extremely useful!

Thanks in advance.

There are player made tutorials, you can also check out the docs for C#. I can post a link if needed, just on my cell now.
Some links would be useful... all I've found are GameSDK tutorials with flowgraph or LUA and in the c# documentation some things about entity physics. Some resources for c++ would be very useful.
Here is a link for a bunch made by some teams.

https://www.cryengine.com/sdk/5.4.0/cs_ ... tated.html

I can grab more, but a bit hard. let me know if this helps.

None of those cover making AI (as in, pathfinder, behavior etc.) unfortunately...

You can check out the documentation on behaviour trees here: http://docs.cryengine.com/display/CEPRO ... avior+Tree
For examples used in the GameSDK you can view the MBT definition files at GameSDK\GameSDK\Scripts\AI\BehaviorTrees.
These may or may not require the GameSDK Binary.

For Pathfinding check out the isometric template project, it contains a very basic setup using a navigation box that allows the AI to find suitable paths to move from one location to another. You can easily view the code implementation in the source code files.
