My team and i are wanting to move over from UE4, but we have a slight problem. Part of our project has to talk to a url, to trigger events to happen outside of the game/engine, like turning on a fan in real life when wind blows in engine.
Is there a way to do this? The plugin we use in Unreal Engine 4 is called varest if that helps.
Any questions or comments are definitely welcome.
Is the plugin open source? You can use the plugin system in CRYENGINE. Try porting it over.
could you help me convert unity plugin uniswf to cryengine version
Sorry i have no clue on how to do that. I am not a programmer.
i think it is open source, as the github link shows, but how would i be able to bring that over to cryengine? Any ideas?
Never mind, its specifically for unreal engine 4...
Try using libcurl library. It supports a lot of protocols.
Where is that at? Completely new to coding in Cryengine.
it's not part of cryengine. it's a library you can use in a lot of programming languages.
