Is there a way to change the player cameras position down?

My characters are a bit shorter than the default Cryengine characters so I want to move the camera down closer to the ground. I have been trying for a week to find where in the game code and engine code this can be found to no avail. Can someone guide me in the right direction please?

Would need to know if this is;
A Template?
GameSDK?
Custom Project?
Do you have a Camera Bone?
Are you using any custom camera?
Schematyc or Flow graph?

My character does not have a camera bone. My project is a third person template in C++. Using the default player camera, no custom camera or flow graph.

In the latest version the camera offset is hard-coded to 2 metres.
