Saving Game Data VIA Flowgraph

The topic would like clarity on is saving data via flowgraph, For example, let's take a simple logic puzzle created where buttons clicked change color with material change node (Serialized), the logic will also enable another button to be clicked or (used) to enable a vector 3 movement of an entity (such as a door etc..) Now on the end of this logic adding Debug String (save autosave) saves the data is this the best way? Assuming the main menu is set to save and load one file... The issue was running into was equipment pack not saving if ammo count was firing,,, EXAMPLE shoot pistol ammo count to 5 > Save game by walking into previous trigger> Load Game > ammo is back to starting... ANY THOUGHTS? ANYONE?
