Cryengine 5.7 water assets and water volume shader isssues

I have been trying to create a water volume with no success. Ive been trying to read the documentation but it is very unclear on how to make a simple pond. Also by default CryEngine 5.7 does not come with any water textures and when importing the water asset from the marketplace it causes my system to crash when trying to repair the metadata. Ive tried brining in my own textures for river creations but that doesnt seem to work either. My question is, what is the best way to go about creating bodies of water whether it be a water volume or river? I know i can create a river spline and I can create an area but how do I actually get the "water" in there?

There are some pre-built materials in the GameSDK project with river and water materials that you can play around with.

You add the actual "water" by setting the material in the `Properties` panel under General > Material.
