Failed to load .cdf in Mannequin editor

I am using Cryengine 5.2.3 and working on the blank template c++. My issue is that my player.cdf file will not show up in the mannequin preview. I have created controllerDef, tag, fragmentID, adb file, and a preview xml file, but the editor always gives me this warning when selecting a model in the context editor...

<12:18:44> [Warning] several pre-updates: FrameID: 1298 [File=player/skeleton.chr]

The FrameID number varies, but I know my cdf and my chr are stable because I have working animations on the cdf in the character tool. I have searched this issue online and one source suggested the issue lies on the code side. If this is true, where in the code do I need to examine?
