Crysis Warhead

Hello everyone, recently once again played Crysis Warhead, and interested in one thing, how the developers were able to make these lines coming from trooper and watching over who create the force field? Is it implemented through code or some Entity? (Lines are circled in red)

Warhead Sandbox Editor was never made public, so i assume either a Shader or particle.

Shields like this is easily done with a material setup and the PFX Editor in CE 5.5.2.
it particle, I found, well, then it is enabled through the flow graph?

I'm making my modification for crysis 1 at the moment, and I'd like to add aliens with shields
