Hi everyone,
I created a sim mesh and render mesh .skin files for the VCloth attachment system as instructed in the manual,
however, while the sim mesh works fine, the render mesh has it's UV's ripped/lost upon assembly in Character Tool.
When I try to use the render mesh .skin file as a regular Skin Attachment, the UV's are correct,
but when I use the same .skin file for VCloth binding slot, they look like a mess, nothing remotely resembling my actual UV's.
The tutorials don't mention anything about a specific UV channel for vcloth or anything, so I'm realy confused about this one.
Is there a modeling/exporting/assembly step I'm missing?
Please let me know.
Thanks,
..K
Re: Character Tool VCloth Attachment render mesh missing UV's?
#2Had the same problem, when exporting vcloth from Maya to Cryengine via CryExporter.
I'm 99% sure, this is a bug in Maya plugin, which is shipped with 5.5 Cryengine.
I solved this issue by installing Maya plugin from 5.4 engine version and exporting vcloth via it.

Re: Character Tool VCloth Attachment render mesh missing UV's?
#3I've been using Max instead of Maya so far, had to revert to older Max version to be able to install older CryTools.
So far no luck with neither 5.4 nor 5.3 exporter. The UV's are still a mess. Guess I'll have to get Maya after all...
I'll keep trying.
Anyway, big thanks for the tip!
