What does direction map exactly do in hair shader ? I am confused.

So I tried to use hair cards to crate hair for my character, the cards were placed manually. And hair texture is baked througn substance painter and xNormal (the high poly is created by blender hair particle system). I baked normal, alpha, AO, and used AO map as diffuse map with alpha.
And also I baked "direction map" in xNormal, well I don't know if I did it right,(changed to PNG to update to forum): but after it's applied to the material, the reflection seems not properly like this: and it looks like this before using "direction map": I guess I dit it in a wrong way. Could someone be so nice to explain what's direction map and how to create it right? As the docs of Cryengine is not very clear.
