What does direction map exactly do in hair shader ? I am confused.

So I tried to use hair cards to crate hair for my character, the cards were placed manually. And hair texture is baked througn substance painter and xNormal (the high poly is created by blender hair particle system). I baked normal, alpha, AO, and used AO map as diffuse map with alpha.
And also I baked "direction map" in xNormal, well I don't know if I did it right,(changed to PNG to update to forum):
direction map
hair_directions.png (81.83 KiB) Viewed 465 times
but after it's applied to the material, the reflection seems not properly like this:
with direction map
screenshot0001.jpg (168.61 KiB) Viewed 465 times
and it looks like this before using "direction map":
without direction map
screenshot0000.jpg (176.94 KiB) Viewed 465 times
I guess I dit it in a wrong way. Could someone be so nice to explain what's direction map and how to create it right? As the docs of Cryengine is not very clear.

Hey there,

We are aware of some issue with the Hair shader and are investigating.
You may be able to get a better effect using the Vegetation shader for now, albeit not ideal.

Cry-Flare can make a separate topic in which write down all the known problems in the column :D What would we know about what problems you know, and what you know about what problems we know
It’s just that there are some problems with rendering, for example (Grass Merged Mesh no shadows, Eye Adaptation in sharp jerks). these problems have already been a year, they have been written on GitHub not once, but they are not fixed. So as I understand it, even GitHub is not a 100% option that another problem will be noticed and fixed.
