Regarding the freezes, do you have any errors in the log files at this point in time? Does this only happen when firing at rigid body entities such as in your example?
If you can provide exact reproducible steps this would be advantageous. eg, what models did you use and in what configuration did you add them to the game world?


Regarding the bullets going round an object, if you are too close to an object the weapon may clip through, you can see the impacts being registered on the opposite side of the vehicle. Also be sure to test inside the Game Launcher, could not reproduce this issue in the Game Launcher with the SWAT vehicle.
