This is more of a code question, but you need to enable shadows on your entity.

// Enable entity shadows
uint32 cFlags = m_pEntity->GetSlotFlags(ACTOR_COMPONENT_SLOT);
m_pEntity->SetSlotFlags(ACTOR_COMPONENT_SLOT, cFlags | ENTITY_SLOT_CAST_SHADOW);
