Question about weapon scripts params

Question about a certain param names for weapon scripts .xml.
Could someone explain a bit of what these do?

<param name="knocks_target" value="0"/>
What is the knock and what should happen?

<param name="impulse" value="100"/>
What type impulse should be seen?

<param name="impulse_actor" value="300"
On player what type impulse should be seen?

<param name="knockdown_chance" value="20" />
Is this knockdown chance measured between 1-100?

I have tried to test these out but my cry engine is not work at the moment.
