Hello, i need help with vegetation AI proxy mesh. I want to make AI can't see through it as it was in Cryengine 2. If you have any ideas, please reply. Also there is ai occluder shape problem - AI can see through it.
Perception and fov is not helpful, when we talk about many vegetation objects on map and also when vegetation object is between player and ai.I've been using Cryengine for 4+ years now and I've not tried something like that, yet.
But, maybe, you could play with fov and other perception values. What you mentioned will be probably done by doing it. But, of course narrowness is the important thing here.
Did you test an AI before posting reply ? Dont say about view distance and other thing which have no sence in this case, i just need a reply about vegetation brunches - can AI see through it or can not.AFAIK already AIs can't see anything through vegetation objects already, except for kinda grass types, moving ones, I mean.
But as a reminder, if it's that important, you can still play with AI view distance, FOV and other perception values by taking area shapes and triggers into account.
