Re: First-person game mode

Make sure to download this asset: https://www.cryengine.com/marketplace/product/CRYENGINE%20GameSDK%20Sample%20Project Then in the CRYENGINE Launcher, go to Library->My Assets. Look for the GameSDK Sample Project and click download. Once the download has finished you can click the arrow next to the...

Re: First-person game mode

You don't need to move the files for this. If you wish to use GameSDK for your project, then you need to launch that project : either manually via gamesdk project file (in the root of gamesdk folder) or have it added into the launcher and start from there. Sorry I didn't understand you very well. I...

Re: First-person game mode

In order to do so, you would either need to extend the functionality of an FPS template or use GameSdk. You can download GameSDK for free at our marketplace. Yes already downloaded, already put the files in the right folder but still the same way. Do you have facebook or some other means of communi...

Re: First-person game mode

In the project browser, select the FirstPerson Shooter C++ Template. You are currently using a Blank template, which contains no game mechanics scripted. Cryengine 5.6.5 is significantly different from 3.5.8, so I would not recommend using the tutorials from old version in order to use the new one....

Re: First-person game mode

I would recommend you use a C++ template. Try different ones: Rolling Ball, First Person Shooter, Third Person Shooter and others. Re: First-person game mode

Hello, it looks like you're using some template project. If this is a "blank" template project, then you do not have any character or camera controller in it by default. This needs to be implemented first for "jump into game mode" to work the way you want it. However, GameSDK has it, Fps, Tps, Side...

Hey guys. I have a doubt and I can not find a solution. Every time I go into game mode, I don't have the gameplay just a locked image (same as the image below) I want to be able to walk the map so I can get a sense of what I'm doing. I'm using cry 5.6 and sorry for the text because it was made in go...

Re: Setting Shadow

You are probably just missing an Environment Probe, place one and Generate. I was looking at the Environment option and found "Total Illumination v2" and it helped me a lot already. Would that be the correct way to solve this problem? Thanks for listening https://i.imgur.com/YMn2sMW.png https://i.i...

Setting Shadow

Hi guys. I have a question that I can not solve. The surplus caused by the sun is very dark, and I wanted to make it clearer. I tried to play in the Time of Day but I did not get where I expected it, it continues the same way. You could help me with this or give me a tutorial, I would be grateful fo...
