I've finally gotten around to testing 5.4 preview 7, and they still don't seem to work. If they do, the CEV documentation needs to be updated as it doesn't produce results (remember, manually overriding weights in the Character Tool does work, but they don't play back in animations). Maybe I'm doing...

Is it only vegetation that isn't casting shadows? If so, make sure that the min shadow casting spec is set to "Low" in each vegetation item's properties.

Unfortunately not; the terrain system hasn't really changed since the engine's inception. Crytek is aware that the system is a bit dated though, so I suspect they'll do something about it before too long.

That snowy city area looks surprisungly nice, and I like that the laptop screen is animated!

As far as I know, you cannot redistribute the Sandbox Editor. At least, I'm pretty sure that's the case with CE V, as it was with all previous versions.

Editor source isn't available yet, so there's no officially supported method of changing its icon for the time being (which shouldn't really matter, since you aren't allowed to redistribute the Editor anyway).
